Road Running Matters

West Cheshire A.C. organise four races a year, 3 road races in April, May and September and a multi-terrain race on Boxing Day.
WCAC members who enter our races are expected to provide a non member who can help on race day, especially for the Half Marathon in May.

The club's road runners are encouraged to compete in the Borders Road Running League, Road Relays, Points Competition and Cheshire Grand Prix series and handicap scheme.

They can also represent the club in other road races far and wide, see the fixture list.

There is a variety of training sessions three nights a week for seniors.

Road Racing is covered by uk:athletics rules 201 to 229, summarised here.

Runners may also find the Road Runners Club a useful source of information, RRC membership gives personal insurance and their magazine reports on world wide road and ultra distance running three times a year .

Road Running takes place in the public domain, please take time to read the Risk Assessment and Health & Safety page.
