Dave McKay invited to Olympic Trials

The West Cheshire AC all-rounder has experienced his best season ever in the javelin after capturing the Cheshire title and nailing a new personal best while representing Cheshire in the CAU Inter-Counties Meeting staged at Bedford.

The Ellesmere Port-based thrower, who has thrown a new best distance of 70.43m this year, has been a key figure in West Cheshire AC's Northern Track and Field League squad and has helped the club into second place after two rounds of the four-round series of fixtures.

Dave will travel to compete in the Olympic Trials javelin event which is scheduled to be held at Birmingham's Alexander Stadium, on July 11-13.
