How do I enter?

Championship races are traditionally team events therefore:-

West Cheshire AC is sent a set of entry forms for each championship, one form for each age group and gender.
You need to get your name with your individual entry fee to the Cross Country Secretary, either directly or via your coach.
The Cross Country secretary then enters your name and required details onto each form for your age group and sends the forms in before the closing date.

Age Groups for Championships

The U11 (Cheshire event only) must be at least nine on the day but if the race is on or after their 11th birthday they run in the U13 age group.
To be U13 you must be aged 11 on the day or still 12 on the 31st August before the Competition Year, see below.
If you are 13 on or before the 1st September you run in the U15 age group. The same rules then apply in the U15, U17 and U20 age groups
Veteran/Master age groups are decided by their age on the day of the Championships.

Qualifications for Championships

Your Club vest must be worn - all of the same style.

Only 1st claim members can count for team awards.

The Competition Year is from 1st October to 30th September.

To run in the Area Championship you must be a 1st claim member of WCAC.
